CD Sync
Method of synchronising the start of a cassette recording with the

Essential for Dolby Pro Logic Surround sound reproduction. The centre

Comb filter
In TV broadcasts, annoying cross-colour distortion may occur when,

Radio Data System by which information codes are added by the broadcaster

Root Mean Squared. Used for measurement of an amplifiers sustained

RS-232 interface
Serial interface to connect peripherals, such as a video recorder,
modem or mouse, to a computer.
Real-time counter
Tape counter in a video recorder which shows the elapsed and remaining
recording/playing time on a tape in hours and minutes.
Repeat Function
Allows use of a TV-Video Combi for continuous demonstration. By
selecting this function, the tape will be played until 30 seconds
of blank tape appear, or until the end of the tape, then it is automatically
rewound and play starts again.
S-VHS comb filter
Device in video cassette recorders that improves the picture quality
in S-VHS by perfectly splitting the colour (chroma) and brightness
(luminance) signals.
S-Video
Special input or output for direct connection of video sources (S-VHS
